A SIMPLE VALENTINE'S DAY SLAY...OR THREE.

Three looks for all of your Valentine's Day festivities: Whether you're getting fancy with your babe or going casual with your girls, I've got you covered with your Valentine's Day slay guide! Three looks for three different occasions to prevent any "I don't know what to wear" stress! The color red is the color of choise if commanding a room, or adding a pop of color to any look. It looks good on everyone----as long as you have the correct shade---- and it adds an element of interest to any look. Basicaly, more people should wear red! Check out how I incorporated this lovely color in a celebratory Valentine's Day post below!

The first look is comprised of three of my favs, a mini dress, an effortless blazer and a lace up heel. An outfit combination made for any dressy occasion. The dress is from Cherry Picked Consignments, a local consignment store in Savannah GA, and of course it being the color red influenced this V-day purchase 10 times more! I've never been a fan of plunging neck lines, so this is a major out-of-my-comfort-zone fashion moment. (I mean, really, any move made closer to reminding the world of my A-cup status is a move I could go without.) But, when I realized it had pockets, I immediately said yes to the dress. A-cup or not, pockets are the make or break of many of my shopping decisions. The shoes are a steal from another one of my favs, Lola's Shoetique! I was introduced to Lola's back in 2014 and my shoe game hasn't been the same since! The accessories and jewelry are all derived from stores like Forever 21 & H&M (I went through a major ring phase in 2013 and I rarely discard any of my jewelry, so the gold stack rings came out to play again, 5 years later.) This look is for a more formal Valentine’s Day outing, but please, if you wear something of this caliber, make sure your significant other levels up as well.

My next V-Day date night look is suitable for a more casual occasion. For my followers who live by the color black, and my cool girls that are more edgy and effortless, than fun and flirty, this is for you! I took a page from the it-girl playbook with this red hot Forever 21 beret (Something had to be a little festive!). The skirt was a thrifted maxi skirt that I DIY’d into a curved hem mini skirt! The suede fabric and length are perfect for transitional weather (and of course when I want to show of my favorite asset---my legs!) I borrowed the blazer from my friend’s wardrobe and the heels? LOLAS's again! They're so comfy and I was surprised to find they actually stayed up on my thighs and made me look much taller! Wear this look to events where you want to be low-key dressy, but super comfortable!

My final V-Day date night look is super casual, for when you're having a night in with your girls or a relaxed date night with your s/o. No Netflix and Chill please! *insert boy-bye hand emoji here* For this look I chose to go with a simple silhouette which is flattering on anyone. The top was a steal. I literally paid $1 for it! I was in Rainbow shopping for some items for a project and I spotted this red color. (Did I mention how flattering I think the color red is?) That red and the ruffles had me at hello, and the rest was purchase history. The skirt was another thrifted midi-turned-mini DIY. The belt I'm sure was from Amazon or EBay...or ASOS. Literally can’t even remember, I'm sure they all sell one similar! The shoes, you've seen many times before on the blog, are from Betsy Johnson! The necklace is from Francesca's and the glow? Oh, that’s sold separately.
