ALL GOOD THINGS MUST EVOLVE.
Que the Boys II Men, because we’ve come to the end of the road.

I began this blog as a platform for my perspective on fashion. I used it as my first online base to share “what’s trending”. Later, those very same skills landed me my entry level position into the fashion industry dissecting runways to forecast trends for brands and magazines. My blog was the place that held my styling work before I was tapped by billion-dollar companies to do it. This very blog is where I first commented on the wardrobes of icons like Beyoncé, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Rihanna before I was being paid to do it for the media.
Whitneysylvain.com is where I refined my taste, defined what I truly wanted from the world, and built my personal brand.
This blog has followed me from college internships to college graduation. Whitneysylvain.com was my personal journal as I moved to New York and went to my first fashion week. It’s followed me into meeting and interviewing some of my favorite entrepreneurs & creators. And this blog is the platform that led me on the path to starting my first business. I’ve accumulated so much information about the fashion industry. What customers like/dislike and the way they want to feel when they get dressed. With so much information it’s only right I take the tea & spill it into my own brand!
Through my time working for other people, the only thing I learned was that I should definitely be working for myself! So, while I’m still employed at my corporate gig, I’m creating that path for myself on the side so I can runaway for good one day.
I’m starting a swimwear brand; her name is Satsuma Swimwear and she is my baby!! This is the first place I’m announcing it, so it’s our little secret, for now. The best kept secret if I do say so myself. ;)
This blog has been with me through some major life changes & while I thought I’d still be blogging into the next set of milestones, I don’t have the energy to keep up with it the way I once did. I’m not going to continue to blog and slack on the content, because I respect y’all (and Whitneysylvain.com) too much for that. So, I’d rather just tie a bow on it. This is the end.
Thank you so much for your support and subscriptions! I have read every comment and “liked” every share on my blogging journey from 2017 until now. Much Love!
